ES Fred Astair
Hanoverian Stallion
1998 Dark Brown, 16.3 hh
Fabriano x Goldpuppe (Godewind)
Approved: AHS
Fred, the first approved son of Fabriano in the U.S.A., had a successful three year old show season competing in Material Classes in Germany, before being imported to the U.S. He ultimately became Reserve Champion for the qualified 3-year-old stallions for the 2001 Bundeschampionate.
His sire, Fabriaino, has fulfilled high expectations having already produced more than 10 approved sons and more than 50 State Premium Mares, including the 1995 Schillerslage Show Champion and 10 mares who where winners of their class at different shows, as well as the winner of the 2 year olds at the traditional Louis-Wiegels Show in 1997. His progeny are equally good in dressage and jumping ability. In 1996 he presented Fats Domino as a finalist at the Federal 3 year Old Riding Horse Championship. To Date, he has presented almost 50 candidates for the Verden Elite Auctions, of whom Forrest Gump was sold for the incredible sum of DM 350,000. At the Elite Auction in October, 2001, a Fabriano daughter topped the sale on video only, for the sum of DM 240,000. The pedigree of this stallion goes back to Godewind (Galan and the famous Shagya Ango-Arab line) and to Spitzweg on the dams side. This is a unique pedigree of tremendous interest.
