Off to get married!!

Since we last blogged, we have had almost 7" of much appreciated rain.  We are also happy that our Southern Texas neighbors got much needed rain as well.  The downside of all this is that Patrick went to the show in Dallas last weekend and it was a muddy, rainy mess.  He did show Farina in PSG- which was the first experience for horse/rider at FEI- and he scored 60.6% which we thought was a respectable first time PSG score.  All of Dreamie's classes had to be scratched as they were outdoors and the arenas were under water.  Her last class on Sunday was moved inside and Patrick took a very tense, unschooled, and nervous youngster into the covered arena and pulled off a 64.6%.  All of you know and have had shows like this where everything seemed to go wrong.  We don't want to forget to tell you that Patrick was sick the whole weekend and Sharon and Alyssa didn't even go because they too were sick.  So, Patrick was on his own and was glad to see Las Colinas in his tail lights on Sunday.  Only if all shows were fun and successful with good footing and weather.  Wouldn't that be nice?

Now for the big news.  Patrick and Alyssa are leaving in a couple of  hours to go to Dallas headed for Ohio for their wedding day on Saturday.  We busily vaccinated, wormed, etc horses today before they leave.  They are very excited and will have many exciting events planned in the next few days leading up to the big moment.  We will post some pictures Tuesday when they are back in work prior to leaving for the honeymoon.  That's really about the biggest news we have around here.

Early this morning Boogie Woogie, (our Boogie Man), left forever to his forever home in Michigan.  His coat is so sleek that we hope he has time to grow a nice furry Michigan coat before winter sets in!

Sharon will be here holding down the fort and things will attempt to go along as usual while wedding bells are ringing in Ohio.  We will sign off now so Patrick and Alyssa can make their way to Dallas.  Talk to you Tuesday!
