Honeymooners finally home!

Patrick and Alyssa got home in the wee hours of the morning yesterday after a super fantastic honeymoon in Jamaica. Seriously, they had a fabulous time and highly recommend Couples Tower Isle in Ocho Rios, Jamaica to anyone wanting a serious R & R. Now they are back to the nitty gritty and the rest of our hectic month. Alyssa will post a few pictures for those who may be interested in that resort.
We started out with a bang this morning with Vets from ESMS in Weatherford here to do radiographs on our Candy Store Sport Horse Sale consignments. They did radiographs and 2 pre-purchase exams on a couple of yearlings. It was a day long event and all we can say is- thank goodness for digital radiographs. We were glad all the horses passed with flying colors with very minor issues, the radiographs and physical exams were great. That is always a relief.
Since our day was taken up with veterinarians, tomorrow will be a frantic day for Sharon and Alyssa to get things done before Sharon leaves early Friday morning to go on her judging excursion.
Patrick will be leaving early Friday morning for the Heike Kemmer Clinic because he doesn't ride until early afternoon. Patrick will have the opportunity to be the first to pull our new Elite 6 horse trailer that was just delivered last week. We are excited about the trailer because it seems like a real step up in quality from our old 4 Star 4 horse stock combo.
The good news is, Sharon was able to manage everything while Patrick, Alyssa, and Lynn were gone and all the horses cooperated by maintaining their health and not doing anything too stupid.
She had farriers, vets, and routine worming and vaccinations but it all went off without a hitch. Even the weather cooperated for the most part.
We did get a little rain last week and everything is beautifully green here. The horses are in heaven and getting fat. But, today was back to work for them too. Everyone was pretty good considering they have had 10 days off.
Oleg, our PSG horse that was here on consignment, was sold and left for Canada last Tuesday. He should arrive in his new home in Toronto tomorrow evening. We always hope that new owners are pleased and happy with any horse they buy from or through us. Bourbon Street, the adorable Connemara/Hanoverian cross yearling, was sold today. He will be going to a great dressage home in the Houston area.
Thanks for reading our blog!!
