Happy Thanksgiving!

We got through the day, enjoying the weather and a nice visit from Hillary Andrews who purchased Bethesda from us months ago. Her husband is in the air force and they have been stationed in Tokyo for a while. Today was her first day to actually meet and greet Beth. Her three children and her mother, who is also a horse person, came with her and it was a treat for all of us. We wanted to post a picture because Hillary and Beth look beautiful together.
Sharon is excited about leaving tomorrow for Santa Fe and she was especially glad that she had a really good ride on Romance today before she leaves. You know how that is- you never want to leave on a trip after a bad ride. It worries you the whole time.
Patrick and Alyssa have decided to go to Sam's Club in Abilene tomorrow to get the rack of lamb that Patrick is hell bent on cooking for Thanksgiving. We are sure it will be great if he could ever get his hands on the actual meat. As we do this blog, Sharon said she has everything done except for packing. Trudy came and picked up her dogs today and took them in for a holiday bath, just bringing them back a little while ago. We are lucky to have Trudy in our "neck of the woods" because she can also braid and do other horsey things to help us. She grew up and lived in Australia and her kids participated in Pony Club there for years. She met and married her husband, Tommy who is from Ranger, and we are lucky now to have her here.
The stars today were Romance, Glenda, La Vienna, and Born. Patrick says Born is beginning his lengthening at the trot which he will need in 2 weeks at Licensing. We must say that Sharon is getting very anxious about Born's Licensing which is coming so soon. It is her first attempt to present a stallion prospect and, as many of you know, it is a very tough process and most of the time ends in disappointment. Patrick is working hard with him these next couple weeks and he reports that things are going well.
We wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving and hope you are joined with your family and friends and remember- don't eat to much or you won't be able to get into your breeches!
