Cold, wet, nasty day!
It has not been a particularly happy, uplifting day here at Garner Creek Farms considering the weather was just downright ugly, uncomfortable, and unpleasant all day. We all managed to get some riding done but it was not one of those fun experiences, to say the least. We hope your weather has been better than ours, wherever you are. So far tomorrow is not looking a whole lot better- although it seems to indicate that tomorrow afternoon we should get some sunshine and it should, indeed, warm up.
The Chronicle of the Horse arrived today with an article featuring Bonnie Canter and Fancy This GCF. You can see this article here:FancyArticlepg1.pdf and FancyArticlepg2.pdf. We are very proud of both of them and it was nice for one of our homebred horses to be featured in such a nice article.
We are counting down until Thursday morning when we are off with Born in the USA for Stallion Licensing. We certainly hope the weather cooperates for the drive up there since it is at least 6 hours. We are anxiously awaiting the outcome and it could be a very proud moment for GCF. If anyone will be up at the Licensing we would love to meet you.
The stars for the day were Dreamie and Romance.
A good friend of Sharon's from Houston called today because she wanted to get information about the Kindle since she is thinking of buying one for her husband. Sharon absolutely loves her Kindle and doesn't think she could live without it now. She has had hers about 9 months and wants to let you know that it is a great Christmas gift for someone who likes to read.
That's all for now!!
