Herd Reduction Sale

Sharon has decided to slash the prices on all of her sales horses. We have too many and the economy has tanked in such a way that we don’t believe we could get the true value of these fine horses. Believe us- we have drastically reduced the prices that you see on our website. We have also added some horses that previously were “not for sale” because we have to reduce our herd. Sharon has placed prices on Greta, Pearl, Sparkle, and Dede. This is a great opportunity to buy a quality riding horse, broodmare, or young horse. We do not currently plan to put these prices on our website so please call Sharon at (713) 824-4374 or Alyssa at (254) 210-9085 for price inquiries.

We want to let you know that NOW is the time to buy 2 year old horses.  All breeders should be highly motivated to sell these youngsters before they have to be backed, started, ridden, and trained.  We know we are highly motivated.  Once we start the horses, we have much more money and time into them and we have to keep them for at least 6 months after they are started because usually they are too green for someone to even try.  As you can see on our website, we have some very awesome 2 year olds which we would love to find homes for. These 2 year olds are ready to be backed now if one has the time or inclination.  We usually don't start them until after the 1st of the year due to time constraints.  Call us if you see something that strikes your fancy!

Championship Success for Garner Creek Farms

Garner Creek Farms is very proud of our homebred Hanoverian/Connemara mare, Fancy This GCF, and her owner Bonnie Canter.  Bonnie and Fancy This won both GAIG Region 9 and SWDC Training Level Amateur classes out of 38 other horses.  They received scores in the high 70's form "I" and "O" judges!  This mare is only 4 years old and our first Connemara/Hanoverian cross that we bred.  Also, please see our blog for the results from Championships for all the rest of the Garner Creek horses!

Bonheur dam sire of PSI auction horse!

We are very excited to announce that Bonheur is the dam sire of St. Pierre in the prestigious Kasselmann P.S.I. Auction in Germany. His gaits and elasticity are very much what we are seeing in our Bonheur offspring. See pictures and video of this wonderful horse here- St. Pierre.

Congrats!!

Plans for stallion prospect Born in the USA

Sharon was very excited to find out that she will be able to take Born in the USA to Stallion Licensing at Silver Creek in Oklahoma at the end of the 70-day Stallion Test that is being held at that farm. There will be the required German Stallion Judges available to License him if he passes. Needless to say, that it will be SO MUCH EASIER for us then dragging him all the way to Maryland next summer. He will be presented on December 13 in Oklahoma. We will keep you informed on the results of this plan.

We were very proud of our 2009 season and look forward to many more Bonheur babies next year. We would like to thank the breeders who chose Bonheur and we hope you are as pleased with your foals as we are of ours!! We are looking forward to having another good season in 2010!
